What motor size can this VFD drive?
5.5kW (7.5 HP) at 400V three-phase. Check motor nameplate full-load current - must not exceed VFD output current rating (13A ND, 11A HD).
What's the difference between ND and HD ratings?
ND (Normal Duty): 150% overload for 60 seconds, for pumps/fans. HD (Heavy Duty): 180% overload for 60 seconds, for conveyors/constant torque. Size HD for high starting torque applications.
Do I need an output reactor?
For motor cable runs under 50m, no reactor needed (built-in EMC filter suffices). For 50-100m runs, add output reactor. Over 100m, use sine-wave filter. Long cables cause voltage reflection that can damage motor insulation.
Can this VFD control multiple motors?
Yes, MX2 can control multiple motors in V/f mode (not vector). Total motor current must not exceed VFD rating. Each motor needs individual overload protection. All motors run at same speed.
