How do I calculate the right power supply capacity?
Steps: 1) List all loads (PLC, I/O modules, sensors, HMIs), 2) Sum total current at 24VDC, 3) Add 20-30% safety margin for future expansion, 4) Consider inrush current (motors, contactors), 5) Check operating temperature (derate at high temps). Can I connect power supplies in parallel for redundancy?
