Frequently Asked Questions
What coil voltages are available?
G2R-2-SND is available in: 5, 12, 24, 48, 110, 220VDC and 24, 48, 110, 220VAC. Select coil voltage matching your control circuit voltage. DC coils with diode suppression (-SND suffix) are most common for PLC output interfacing.
Can I use AC coil version with DC supply?
No, AC and DC coils are not interchangeable. AC coils will overheat on DC, DC coils won't operate properly on AC. Always match coil type (AC/DC) and voltage to your control supply.
What's the advantage of socket mounting?
Socket mounting enables: quick relay replacement without rewiring, easy testing and troubleshooting, flexible panel layout, and reduced downtime during maintenance. The relay plugs in/out while socket remains wired.
When should I use a relay vs direct PLC output?
Use relay when: load current exceeds PLC output rating, voltage isolation is needed, switching AC loads from DC output, or multiple circuits need simultaneous switching. Direct PLC output is fine for low-current DC loads within PLC ratings.
